Yeah, you can only hear the same electrician joke so many times before it doesn’t amp you up anymore.
Guess they’re not wired for puns. Time to switch the conversation to something light so you don’t run up the meter with their resistance.
Either laugh at your own joke. Mention it is a joke. Or keep punning until they get it. Especially as they’re not your acquaintances, they don’t know if you’re trying to be funny or an asshole.
