What’s the use case for a ActPub based weather info service that wouldn’t be adequately addressed by a basic API on an existing service?
Activity Pub is a very popular way to decentralize.
With political uncertainty around centralized meteorological data infrastructure, it makes sense to continue the process of decentralization. The underlying APIs can be changed in the future if needed.
Wtf, why would they assume everyone lives in a city? Especially in France!
Most people live at least somewhere near a city that doesn’t usually get radically different weather than where they do live.
From what I understand, this is just a start. They’ll cover all regions and areas over time.

I’m stupid. The domain was being blocked by the “newly register domains” filters on of ControlD DNS.
