Not sure why you’re seeing that. I’m on the same instance as you and I see them all, so it’s not a defederation issue. You don’t have a big block list, I assume. Seems strange.

On the one hand, on the surface, my wife and I seem to anecdotally validate the data since we met online. On the other hand, it was 1994, and it was just a discussion BBS, not a dating site. We talked online for a few months before we met, and even then it was just a site meet-and-greet at a pizza place. We didn’t start dating until months after that.
13·1 year agoOthers have touched on it, but for me it’s like the difference between speaking up in a conversation between people I don’t know at a house party, and speaking up in a giant auditorium when the person on stage is asking for inputs. The smaller scale makes it a bit more comfortable and I feel more like what I have to say isn’t already being said by a hundred other people.
I believe that’s for comments that are newer than ten minutes (same maybe also unread?).
