an off-topic post.
How is this sad, or a story?
Point 2 is exactly why it is being down-voted. A post about how the Fediverse is toxic to one race/skin colour shouldn’t be telling people of a different race/skin colour to “post less”.
Discrimination based on race isn’t welcome, no matter who it’s against.
Since this is just a draft, you should change #2 to just “think before you post”.
It can make sense in certain circumstances, like in BLM rallies telling white people that it wasn’t our stage to speak makes sense, but telling people of a certain skin colour to “post less” in general is racist as removed.
French communities I’ve been in when in the prairies seem to do it differently shop by shop, often mixing things together.

That’s gross.
You may be looking for a “dock” instead of a “panel”.
Plank is a popular/common one, I do not have any recommendations for you though
I agree that it’s not the year of the linux desktop, and that people who think it is are very naive, but you don’t need to tell anyone to use the terminal for anything for many distros.
Oh boy.
Another way for people to repost from reddit.
I didn’t see where the author brought up gender in this article.
Is this a Lemmy problem, or a problem because you are using an app?
I think that your comments about Ukraine may get you banned in a lot of places.
Ukraine is not a Nazi state.
Make a USB that you can “live boot” from, so you can test out how they work with your hardware. Generally speaking, Mint works better with AMD, and Pop! works better with Nvidea. Once you have one you like, you can use the installer on USB to set things up.
Here’s the official basic guide for Mint:

And here’s the official basic guide for Pop!:

I have never used that emulator, but I know that sometimes the installation method of things like emulators can cause issues.
Have you tried both a direct install, and the Flathub version?
Most of them can’t do the basic formatting of Lemmy, so in my mind, they are basically useless.

And if you go to the website that the picture is from, the page is a string of text that isn’t in a spoken language or a common programming language. So the image is to make you think that it just a silly picture, when it is actually probably something pretty nefarious.
Yesterday, they seemed to always tag a warframe community.
Yeah, it sounds like the desktop version of an Iphone.
People who are part of the Fediverse are generally progressive, which is why they are here to begin with instead of facebook/Xitter/reddit.
People who are progressive generally don’t like people who don’t like trans people.
This is just anecdotally, but it there seems to be much higher than average rate of trans persons on the fediverse.
Risa had some mod issues, Tenforward was created. The people who actually post have basically all moved to Tenforward, it’s not really a war.
Yeah, I think Lemmy and Mastodon should be made even more separate than they are currently, they are different platforms with different styles, goals, and uses.
