Unfortunately, the SEO hellscape means every single windows error just yield a “Try to install our patcher tool” article.
How about both?

Plus the graphs actually show that posts are up despite active users (people who make at least one post) being down. That means the people sticking are generally more willing to post and comment.
So the problems I’m reading here are mostly admin drama and community isolationism.
Which don’t sound like problems. If anything, sounds like things sorting themselves out. I see hexbear politics-addled community, I block hexbear politics-addled community. Solved, no one else the wiser. Admin is a cunt and defederates from several places while barely hiding their emotional outburst to the change? I use the Lemmy Migration tool, solved, no one else the wiser.
And were NEVER the actual problems I had with Mastodon, much less even close to the top one that still plagues it (Discoverability).
It’s not steadily. They only have two data points. All lines are straight. You can pretty much ignore what happens between the two years at the start and end, and you can also ignore any apparent trend because, hell, the last year might be an outlier, or maybe bars has been higher and is now trending down.
Really?
Because I can’t agree. Bluesky is, weirdly, geared around building up custom “queues”, and the default queue, called “Discover” has some really niche stuff in it. This is very much so not like the usual Twitter method, and is way less immediate for generating a dashboard with valuable content than Twitter’s “Just follow a bunch, the algorithm with add in the gaps”.
Like right now the third post ok Discover is a Bara Furry artist essentially advertising his porn.
Bara Furry Porn. The OPPOSITE of mainstream.
I find the app very off putting every time I open it.
