Any advantage to using Orca Slicer over PrusaSlicer? Basically the main reason I use PrusaSlicer is just cus it’s on flathub

I have a Sovol SV06, which normally uses an SD Card but I flashed Klipper on it and connected a Rasperry Pi to it (which is connected to my network via ethernet) and now I also have a web interface and can just upload the files and start the print from there.
Since it’s using the Raspberry Pi instead of the built-in microcontroller for all the calculations, it’s also a lot more accurate.
I just use Blender. Any advantage to using FreeCAD?
DNS should be working, I manually set the DNS server. I don’t really wanna install docker tho, I feel like that could cause other issues. If it only works in docker, that doesn’t really help me anyway, does it?
No, is that required?
But wasn’t the point of the post that it should, in theory, be possible to use a single account for all the different services by having a client that supports them all, since these different services federate with each other? I don’t know if that’s currently possible without making changes on the backend but if you need different accounts for each service, even if it’s handled on the back-end, that kinda goes against the whole point of the post, no?
I know, I was just replying to the part I was quoting. Point is, hosting that web client wouldn’t be an issue.
But where would a unified Web client run in the first place? It would have to be installed on a Web server and, from there, access the Web servers of the various different server apps which would still be entirely different and independent installations.
There are already web clients for the fediverse, like Photon for Lemmy
But also, considering that at one point in Tumblr’s history, you could edit other people’s posts, maybe it is an improvement.
What 😭
If you buy a used one, you can probably get it a good but cheaper as well
I think there’s also similar devices to a Raspberry Pi that are cheaper
Thanks, I’m gonna selfhost it then. What you said about the piped components sounds interesting, is there like a list of them?
You can disable COW for specific files btw

There’s Meshroom. You just give it the photos and it contructs a 3D model from them. Since it’s FOSS, it works on Linux.
Wouldn’t a home router with Windows cost way more because of the licence?
The Deutsche Bahn uses Linux for the displays in their trains, that show you the next stops, at least. Saw the systemd startup thingy on one of those displays once when the train restarted while I was in it.
Using the iGPU might save power but the resolution doesn’t need to be turned down for that
