“persistent storage” is a thing.
But USB drives can’t endure standard Linux for long. Too many logs and other files written all the time…

Other than that, it ran nicely. Fresh versions of everything, snappy with zen kernel… Haven’t really tinkered with it. I just used it as is.

I use logseq. It has an Android app, and also desktop app (the latter being more complex). Also, it’s plain markdown.
But you have to sync the different devices yourself and be careful not to run two instances at the same time.
