Currently driving Fedora 39
I am no longer here, and have moved to lemmy.world
Currently driving Fedora 39
Unfortunately, the drivers aren’t available as easily with other distros. The main issue is that my laptop is an ASUS laptop, awesome laptop most of the time, but it’s not easily supported by Linux
Currently, dual booting Fedora and Windows 11 on my Asus gaming laptop, and I love Fedora, but it’s still not full sailing. Every other boot the wifi card doesn’t register and I have to reboot, others the OS freezes even though Grub doesn’t but nothing actually opens or closes, and lastly if the laptop is on battery and goes into hibernation, waking it up takes around 5-10 minutes. To add that gaming is still not as smooth as it is with windows, and I still have a use for Windows pOS.
I actually installed 39 fresh on a asus gaming laptop and while before I had issues with multiple drivers not working correctly, this time it was incredibly painless and I haven’t has any issues with it.
As long as memory and ssd are upgradable and not soldered on the board, I would buy this laptop
Hey congress, so uhhh… you can 3d print a 3d printer
Better support for gaming laptops with both igpu and dedicated gpus like in windows so that I can stop having to reboot when I want to go from portable mode to gaming mode
Grub
Don’t use vscode, use vsCodium, all the goodness of vscpde with none of the sleezy ms tracking
If I’d made a mistake I would go back and correct it without giving it a second thought, but I will concede that maybe it wasn’t clearly argumented. Maybe I sounded like a dick to you but I assure you it wasn’t my intent. “There are nice islands in a sea of dicks”
Please re-read my response. I never said that USB would always constrain the audio quality, but if you get a cheap USB to aux converter, the quality would be lacking vs a more expensive solution.
USB audio will always be better in pricing options, but the question is, which will give you better sound for the price. Of course, this only matters if you think audio quality is more important than price.
And you can just get an audio dac hat.
When I look a the logs, I’m mostly looking for as least knots as possible, but also to make sure they are cedar, pine, or oak depending on the project.
Oh removed, this isn’t the carpentry community. NVM then
You should be able to just go to Settings > Battery and seeing the battery usage of your phone broken down by apps.
What kind of pc do you have? Is it a pre-built, a laptop, or is it a custom build desktop?
Also, what kind of games are you planning on playing?
That’s cool, but I can’t even figure out how to set my location.
Comparing Google to Reddit is comparing Apples to Dinosaurs.
Or apples to windows
Congratulations!
Now, decorate it with cool stickers!
