Edit: Uses the same slot as VPN on a phone. Thus you have one or the other. Not both. PC is different.

Cutoff internet access on all apps that expressly do not need it. Install Netguard or the likes if you don’t used a VPN and see what apps are calling home.

I looked into Mycroft but sadly they have shutdown is appears. Their lead Dev left and went to work on Home Assistant. I think Home assistant is dominant in this space. But things aren’t refined for plug and play use. Yet! They are making major strides in the space though.

I seen Microcunt Teams has a really nice summarize feature of meetings things like that are so nice even taking notes and asking questions about the topic. I will look into Siri. I hate apple as much as microremoved but I need something mains stream as I don’t have time to set things up. Otherwise I would go the HA route. A lot of the replies are missing the ask here. I’m looking for ways to aid in privacy of a plug and play system like an echo dot or siri, google home, etc. Such as behind a VPN, fake account, and more. I dig this. Especially the speech to text then run the command online. I’m afraid I don’t have the current time to implement this and need big brand assistant quickly, I need advice on how to protect my privacy while using alexa, or google assistant, etc… But damn this is nice. Almost exactly as one would want an AI setup really. Home assistant has came a long way and that is awesome. Those people do good work.

I really love the idea of setting this up. I keep up fairly with these types of projects. I just lack the time to implement this myself. Which is why I was mentioning a mainstream service and finding a way to privatize it. I plan to use the assistant for work. I work long hours. By the time I am done for the day I feel cooked. I need a relatively plug and play system. How could I help privatize say an echo dot? Or some other mainstream Voice Assistant.

Leon looks promising. I need something online though. For internet based questions and answers. I’m not sure if Leon is internet capable or have such extensive usages for daily use. That’s why I wondered if it would be easier somewhat to privatize a main stream voice assistant. I know there is drawbacks either way with what I need to do.

Can you use say futo voice input with OpenAi’s API why does one need to use whisper. And Wyoming seems to be an integration with home assistant.

Most major American sites no longer accept these and they have become finnicky including locking the card so you have to call the call center to reopen the lock. This is due to curb laundering. Walmart in person works. Gas stations work. Used to work everywhere now, not much.

When windows updates it can totally break grub as it tries to flush out anything other than windows by default.

Yea that’s it. I couldn’t remember what the options were and I was going to sleep. I’m back online and if you give me a few minutes I can do my best to help. Clear all the options you can and try running sudo apt get update. Sometimes where there’s an input output error it can also be a hardware issue such as a bad block on the drive preventing anything from writing to that block. Go to disks. Find your main drive and repair it, then check it the option above repair. After those two repeat the remove dependencies and duplicate/foreign packages. Finally sudo update. See it that helps.

I fixed this issue on mine and it took me a few tries, while I’m not currently on my PC you should be able to find some tab along the page you can change the mirrors and it says something like clear packages and there’s a few options on a small boxed list deal. Perhaps something like remove duplicate dependencies I really can’t remember the boxes so don’t quote me. You clear all of them that mention remove or clear. Change mirrors then Sudo update your APT then I switched back to the main Jammy is it? Worked for me. I could better help once I’m back to my computer. It happened to me a few weeks ago as well so my memory is hazy. If your still having trouble in 12 hours once I am able to get to my computer I will help you best I can.
