Or as someone else said, Grex
My brain autocorrected the surname the first read through
Problem with private schools is most likely the training investment required. They can’t as easily replace IT team and/or CS teachers with those who can handle Linux
I don’t buy the piracy thing either but your proof is bad because there are so many Indians that they will always overwhelm in sheer numbers even if it’s a small percentage of the whole population
Again, if someone enjoys it or wants to do it that way, more power to them but if someone wants a common interface for most things without learning the specifics of something and the commands for it then they’ll want a good gui, if it’s not available they’ll end up cribbing about it.
I haven’t tried Linux on desktop in years but I would like to explain why power users might prefer not learning the command line: they don’t want to learn/memorize/understand the commands needed as that would take away from other things they want to spend that time on, I’m not sure why gui doesn’t hold that friction but it doesn’t
I also like the idea of incremental loading, even if it’s not that relevant anymore. Also, I don’t think your example of generation loss is enough as it’s just one image, I would like to see multiple randomly picked images passed through the same process but if the results are the same as here or barely anymore loss than the best option for any given image I do think that’s a good result to aim for.
Unpopular opinion but webp isn’t bad it just needs wider support, but maybe I’m unaware of its actual shortcomings in which case please educate.
Also I wonder if it’s possible to have a single image format for all those uses but also RAW?
I really want to believe that Margot Robbie advocates for the fediverse and likes Android enough to be a mod on it’s subreddit

My mistake for not being clear, I meant having an interface that’s well suited for a tablet. Though I should probably think more about the apps than the rest of the DE.
I feel like no desktop OS maker has nailed transition to touch screen devices, but I have only recently gotten my first x86 tablet and have only used windows on it, so my experience is limited and I’m only judging from screenshots I have seen online.
(I guess steam OS can count as decent enough, but it’s not available yet outside of steam deck and it’s gaming focused)
P.S. I honestly would be happy with an iPad if it were not so limited and more non-mobile games were available for it
Is there any distro which works well with touch screens?
No, they baby, Linux baby to be specific
Why is the preview for this an ad for ublock?
