I usually refrain from replying to threads on those instances and when possible use the non-.ml equivalent

I don’t watch reels, shorts, tiktoks or any other short for videos and Loops is not an exception. I moved from Instagram to Pixelfed for the sole purpose of getting atleast some audience for my photography since Instagram wants you to post videos instead.

I believe that by US standards I’m a so called “classical liberal” but by Lemmy standards I’m probably somewhere in the centre right.

And no I’m not that on purpose just like the “ultra-wokes” aren’t either. We don’t choose our beliefs. They are what they are. We hold the beliefs we think are correct. Now if someone makes an incredibly good argument that shakes your world view, you don’t choose to change your mind either - you helplessly do so.

Well damn. I already copied my entire Instagram library there so I guess I’ll just deal with it.

I haven’t figured out how to find good photographers to follow but my last two posts there has both gotten over 25 likes which is more than I used to get on Instagram so I guess that’s something. My only complaint is how much they scale down my pictures and absolutely butcher the quality.

Yeah going thru her post history left me with the impression that if everyone seems to have a problem with you then maybe you’re the problem.

That’s so weird. I write controversial stuff here all day every day and I’ve never had this happen to me. Not here and not on reddit either.

This and also that Lemmy has a major left-wing bias. I’d gladly take more right wingers here to even it out a little. Not that social media represents real life anyway, but being on a left-left wing platform does distort one’s reality a little. There’s a lot of views that are mainstream here but which I almost never encounter in real life.

And that’s how it should be. In my mind the ideal social media is a complete wild west that has it all but also comes with tools that allow users to tailor the experience to their personal liking instead of having someone else do it for them (unless that’s what they want)

You can do this natively in your user settings but it doesn’t work for me for some reason. I’m quessing it can’t handle my massive block list.

When a blocked user replies to my message I get no notification and might just see “1 more reply” or something like that but when I click it it wont load. Only when I sign out can I read it. However I believe that the blocked users can still see my messages just fine. Same with bans. I can see all posts from lemmy.ml but they can’t see mine.

If it was JDAM then where are the pictures of the leveled hospital/crater? Where are the pictures of 500 dead people? That’s A-grade propaganda material for Hamas so why isn’t it all over the internet? All I’m seeing is this picture which judging by the fence and tree is from outside aswell as this with a matching fence, couple burnt cars and some damaged roofing tiles. Ofcourse there’s also the video posted by IDF of aerial footage which matches that picture from the parking lot and shows a very much intanct hospital building.

EDIT: Here’s a video from that same parking lot. I wonder why they aren’t filmin the leveled hospital instead.

Well not really. Mostly people are just being mean and/or saying I’m wrong but no one is trying to change my mind. When I made the first post that got me banned I had just woken up and had only skimmed thru the news, but the more time passes and I look into it the more comfortable I feel with my original conclusion. At the moment it seems almost certain that it indeed was a malfuncioning Hamas rocket shot from Gaza strip and there’s plenty video evidence to back that up.

Blindingly obvious to everyone else except me, apparently.

Please educate me. I believe I’ve laid out my argument quite clearly. What is it that I’m wrong about exactly and what are you basing that on?

I’m not sure what that community would even be. I’m not interested about being surrounded by bunch of yes-men. I want my community to call me out on my bullsht because I’m going to do the same for them.
