How would that help? If you release something as GPL code, you cannot prevent it from being used to train a model, no matter where it’s hosted.

The 90’s was a wild time…
Specially for people coming from windows, this was normal. The appeal of mandrake and corel and suse was this kind of graphical control panel à la windows where you needed root privileges in a graphical interface.
I myself didn’t learn about sudo until years later, and su just from debian 3.0.
Ignore them?
I agree with this. When I publish my code, it is documented for someone in my field with around my level of knowledge. I assume you know DNS, I assume you know what a vector is, I assume you know what a dht is, I assume you know what O(log n) is.
I’m not writing a CS50 course, I’m helping you use the code I wrote.
Might be different for software like libre office which is supposed to be used by anyone, but most software on earth is built with other developers in mind.
Humanities are very important. Robots are not yet capable of flipping burgers!
Yes. I tried it once with Gnu cash and my dkb account, got 12 months of transactions or so.
removed ADP, same problem here. My company has moved away starting this month, good riddance.
Should be everywhere. I’ve only tried it with DKB.

For the lazy, in termux:
$ pkg install proot
$ pkg install proot-distro
$ proot-distro install debian
$ proot-distro login debian
Profit??
I looked on the play store and fdroid, haven’t found anything. I’d love to have a Linux chroot with CLI linux software, don’t want to root my phone. Halp.
Unless you have user access to a system with gcc on it.
It wouldn’t make sense. Glibc is LGPL licensed, not really compatible with the BSD license…
You lost me at developers. Hard disagree.
For what it’s worth, my company issues macs by default, but allows Linux or Windows if you request it. We just use Google Suite. Zero problems collaborating, and I work in a customer facing role.
Can confirm. If/when something happens to the VPS I’m hosting mine, I’ll be moving to a fully managed solution. Probably cheaper, too.
I must have joined after they left, what was it? I’m just familiar with hexbear.
There’s nothing in GPL that would forbid it. Only distribution without code publication is forbidden.
