Ah, makes sense. In Texas, everyone does that lol.

Surprised how many people were opposed to hunting deer with guns. I know that’s super popular in some places.
Love it lol. That banana phone song was a blast from the past.
It’s happening!
Hey at least they’re supporting the Fediverse lol
Thanks!
Che wasn’t involved in those camps at all. And not only did Castro apologize, but ended up helping push some of the most liberal LGBTQ laws on the books in any country, including the US.
You excuse the US for all sorts of stuff, I’m sure. Reagan ignored a pandemic, all your founders were slave owners, hell, your current President is helping with a genocide and I’ve seen people excuse that all over Lemmy.
And for the record, even the tankie communities on Lemmy, like hexbear, disagree with nutomic’s comments.
Oh nice! That’s the one I’ve probably tried the least so I’ll have to give that one another go. (Not for any particular reason, I just got used to the UI of the first couple other apps I tried). Thanks for the good news!
You have a US citizen friend you can give money to donate? Normally I wouldn’t encourage going around the sanctity of our elections but since AIPAC had already tipped the scales of our primaries and they do the same thing, removed it. Nothing is sacred anymore apparently.
Oh nice. I don’t think I’ve tried that one yet now that I think of it.
Ya I’ve only been able to cross post on the web UI. I’ve seen apps like Jerboa and Voyager at least show cross posting correctly, I just wish they made it easier to cross-post in app.
Lemmy.world?
Which of these are the Facebook ones?
You’re one of the lucky few. I bet online apps are great for attractive dudes with lots of great pictures lol.
Smaller instances are also less likely to get defederated by other instances, so unless your admins or mods are quick on the defederation, you get to see everything the fediverse has to offer. Not everyone likes that, of course, but it can be a good perk depending on the user and their admins and mods.
I also really like the idea of interest based instances. I hope we see those grow bigger rather than everything being put on .World and .ml. I need to post and comment on instances like programming.dev or ttrpg.network more.
I’m pretty sure any admin could do that with their Lemmy server, couldn’t they?
The people nodding the instance are generally different than the devs. Also, their code is open source.
Lemmy.world is biased, but in a way that’s harder to see. They’re more liberal and centrist, which isn’t political in the same way being white “isn’t”. It seems like it isn’t because it’s the default of the English speaking West.
But still, ya, lemmy.ml needs to cool it with the bans and heavy handed moderation. I’m glad it’s not the biggest anymore but now I think everything is too much on Lemmy.world. I wish people would split up their accounts and communities on more instances instead of putting it all on one (or two). This and Reddit is a great example of why we shouldn’t be giving the same people power over everything.
I think that was added in later, but ya, makes sense lol (or I’m blind, either one)
