I get that and I would obviously prefer an completely open source linux. But on the other hand I want stuff to work. I like that for example linux mint and ububtu ask during the installation if you would like to install prorietary stuff as well, which i always click. And who would not?
Oohh, counter strike.
Then find out you cant stream stuff out of the box and find uburnu vor mint? :D ( i would recommend mint, just installed it on my desktop. Laptop still runs ubuntu)
I wonder why they dont like people removeding around with the kernel
Fedora was my first distro. But i hat issues with Hardware in my framework laptop, which should have good Linux support. But what was even more annyoing was that Video and audio codec die not work right away because it does not support proprietary which made life horrible difficult for a noob. What are your thoghts on that?
I feel the same. I like the minimal design oft GNOME and KDE plasma looks kind of too much like windows, which feels traumatic to me :D But I will try plasma again soon with mint. I hope it will be more pleasant than I remember
Freecad 1.0 actually is a lot more intuitive than it was a few months back in my opinion. I would recommend to give it a try.
Its still a but clunky at some points but for basic stuff its not bad to use
What i dont quite understand: If I use something like a next cloud client app or file manager integration, how would the authenticator work? I thought the app or program would nee d direct access to the service, without anything in front of it
But no ports only regards the home network, right? The proxy Server has to have open ports, and the home Server that connects to the proxy (how ever that’s done) needs to receive the forwarded packages on its ports, no?
I reaaaly hoped they would have survived longer. I used it a few times and its a huge improvement to fc, and as far as I know the team contributed quite a lot to essential improvements to get fc to v1.0 Fc is still a difficult software to use, and I wished ondsel could continue to improve it in the correct direction. But well, maybe it will get better soon. I’m thankful for their work either way
First: Have a look at bitwig. Ableton is the only tool that keeps me from switching permanently to Linux. And i tried it with my push 2 and an extension - looks like i found something that will work for me! The workflow is even a bit better in some cases. Its not foss though
And there is an extension for onedrive for the file Explorer. Just try it out and ask your work or uni to enable the connection. Worked at our uni without issues
Pro tip after removeding it up twice: if you want to dualboot: Disable yecure boot and bit locker in Windows and WAIT 30 MINS at least or find out how to check the decryption status of bit locker. It says “done” after clicking the button, but it takes time. If that fails bit locker will lock the hard drive and you will habe fun searching for the key
Wow, thanks!! That actually solved it apparently! Why does the wireguard config change if i can ping outside the docker container though? Is it because the wireguard client inside the container opens up ip adresses or something? :) Thanks again! Itried to find a solution for many hours yesterday :D
Oh and is the ‘,’ in the allowed ips meant as an “and” or rather an “or”?
When I am on the server, it can even ping the domain. On my laptop, it can only resolve the domain to the correct ip
Changing the domain does not change the problem sadly. I thought .local is a safe one to use
So in the dnsmasq.config file is this entry: ‘address=/server.local/192.168.178.10’ and using nslookup it resolves it correctly
I agree with the sugfeations to clean your bed. But i never had to use glue, I just releveld the bed or redid my first layer calibration
I agree, but in the other Hand, everyone at framework is just a huge nerd. They all worked as engineers in big other companies before and decided its time for a change. So for me it does not really feel like profit is their sole number one priority. And like the team diacribes quite well in the comments of the post, they are just enthusiastic and want to enable motivated lads to work more closely with the developer team
Thats dope. I suppose grandma? Do you keep them around to copy stuff over to your current project?
I think there was something with the screen, trackpad and fingerprint reader? But its long ago, so idk
