You send police to the scene where they secure the potential suspect and make sure there’s nothing going on.

I’ve run across a few sites that allow me to check out entirely through Google Pay or PayPal, but not many. I still don’t love the info going through Google, but at this point they already have all my information, so it doesn’t really make much of a difference at this point.

And of course for anything that needs to be shipped they are going to need a name and shipping address.

I would like to seeegally mandatory “guest checkout” options with protections on data use. They’ll need to keep some kind of invoice/receipt of the transaction, but it should be illegal to use it for any other purposes than order/purchase tracking for guest accounts.

Aren’t cellphone NFC payment essentially a long-form version of this? As far as the machine is concerned they’re getting your CC info, but Google/Samsung/Apple Pay are acting as a middleman and your actual credit card information is never actually shared.

I top-mounted it to my A1-mini and it does just fine. I’d imagine the full A1 should be alright.

There was a massive change in cast, new set and setting, a move to academia, etc. It wasn’t Scrubs, but a spinoff featuring Turk and Cox.

What annoys me and I don’t entirely understand is the purge tower. If I purge to infill or another object, why am I still having to build this dumb tower? If you choose to disable the tower, it disables the purge to infill option.

Gist time I sliced something for my AMS lite I was flabbergasted by the increase in printing time and waste.

For those unaware, since you’re often having 4 filament changes per layer, each of which take about a minute, a 1hr mono-fillament print can suddenly turn into a 36-hr print with 5-10x more filament being purged than ends up in the model.

It’s really cool, but super wasteful.

But you can strategize to minimize filament changes by splitting up a model and stacking it to minimize filament changes per layer. This one only took about 8 hours.

The course I teach involves photo and video editing, which I do on my personal laptop for 2 reasons:

1. Because I own the photos and videos I capture, the raws stay on my device.
2. My personal laptop has a lot more horsepower

Don’t get the keyboard case for it - it sucks hard. It’s so thick it turns it into another laptop, it types terribly, and when folded backwards so you can write it still tries taking over from the pen.

Other than that I love it.

I carry 3 laptops in my backpack (one for 8-5 job, one personal, and one for teaching night classes at the University) along with a foldable phone, a work phone, and e-ink notepad.

Between my 3 laptops, Rog Ally, 2 desktops, and some old laptops I keep around for media devices and network interfaces around the property, I’ve got like 10 Windows machines in my life.

But I also know I’m an outlier.

How far down are PC sales in general though?

Is it that more people are buying Linux, or fewer Windows customers are buying new computers at all?

A few years ago, you’d have households with a laptop for every member of the family. Now with tablets and phones doing so much of the heavy lifting, many families are dropping to just 1 Windows or Mac laptop that mostly gathers dust.

My 0.2mm head is in the mail.

The A1 mini is $200 right now (you have to manually choose NOT to do the AMS bundle on the site though that’s also worth considering at $350 for a multi-color/material printer). It’s an extremely good printer for the size, and the 0.2mm nozzle and the correct settings will do minis very well.

Yes and no. Lots of the smaller towns were already fairly spread out because they were agriculturally-based towns, so the property sizes were huge. But many of the big, old cities still have excellent public transit.

About 20 years ars ago I flew to New England on a trip and was able to get between and around everywhere I needed within Baltimore, DC, and Pittsburg using trains and public transit, very very easily.

In Texas that simply isn’t possible because most of the cities here are so spread out. The Texas Triangle is an urban population center with the population of New York City, but spread over 60,000 square miles instead of 300.

Europe had an advantage on designing walkable cities by building them when there wasn’t another option.

Much of the US was settled by cars and air conditioning.

Which applies to most things. If a HP printer used $2 ink refills it would also be a good value.
