Linux works for roughly 80% of what I do. The BIG missing piece is audio production. The software is mostly okay, it’s the actual audio system that’s the problem. Audio on Linux sucks big floppy donkey dicks. Yes, I know all about JACK (complicated and never works the way you think it should), RT kernels, Pipewire, etc. It’s all terrible.
I’m not on YouTube shouting about it, though.
I’d argue that it really doesn’t matter. Linux has taken over everything else. And the more MS removeds up, the more likely people will look for alternatives. I do believe many will go to Mac, but Linux is clearly picking up some of the slack as well. Microsoft wouldn’t be the first tech company to take a tumble. Never say never.

Because he’s obnoxious and so sure of his bad takes as if they’re fact, as opposed to removed opinions. Did I mention he’s obnoxious?
I can’t stand this guy. That has nothing to do with the video, other than I probably won’t watch it because of how much I dislike him.
Gnome might as well be proprietary with their removed attitude.
Nice additions. Shotcut is the editor I settled on because Kdenlive and Openshot…cut(?) we’re just too unstable and crashy.
Has anyone here ever tried punching themselves in the dick repeatedly?
I’ve reinstalled a few times throughout the years, simply because I didn’t want to deal with fixing something, mainly a bloated mess with multiple desktops. Sometimes it’s faster to back up home and nuke it from orbit.
No matter how stupid the management is, I’ll still use FF over Chrome. Even so, Mozilla is lost in their own bullremoved. That “workshop” is like some crap from kindergarten. Just make a good browser ffs. They can’t get it through their thick skulls that the browser isn’t the destination, it’s the means to getting there.
I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the top user/newb friendly distros. I see Mint mentioned a few times in these responses, and I agree, use Mint. It’s a nice distro.
Np, I’m pretty damn grumpy lately as well. I also apologize.
How Windows is removed? How Manjaro didn’t renew their web certificate that time years ago? Whether or not it’s Gnu/Linux or just Linux? There are so many “issues” to obsess over!
Oh look, another Linux user whining about a binary distribution method they don’t like. If you don’t like Appimages, don’t use them.
Lol thanks but I already use it. That’s what I went to when I finally gave up on Gnome.
I’m not a programmer and I’ve been dual booting for 25 years.
