This looks great, just installed it. Now to figure out how to make it looks totally transparent with just the different buttons and shrink it a bit like in the project’s screenshots

Read the post, literally nothing ☺️
I had an external hard drive enclosure that I stored my Plex content on before I built a nas, and the enclosure would go to sleep after 15 minutes and take the drives offline. So i had a cron script write a 1 kb file to each drive every 14 minutes. Worked well enough
It’s so sad Steve Job died of ligma
You can have tons of tabs open while still being able to read what they are
Moving the tabs to the side of your browser window frees up more vertical real estate which better matches the webpage layout of most websites, which otherwise have wasted space on the left and right sides of the page when viewing them on a computer
Ah gotcha. I just set a custom fan curve in the BIOS which has been working well for me in Linux (I also use a Corsair AIO + Commander Pro).
I just learned of the liquidctl application which supposedly works for this. I’ll check it out later this afternoon and see how it works!
I have a Corsair keyboard and on Linux I use ckb-next to control rgb and stuff
Also wondering this. My razer laptop’s speakers have noticeably worse sound quality on pop_OS than on Windows
Both can be true - everyone always hates on new Windows versions (usually for legitimate reasons) and Windows 11 captures and reports more telemetry.
That Ubuntu would install the snap version of certain apps when I installed them directly in the terminal was the main reason I left Ubuntu after a few years. So annoying!

I use xrdp and remmina as well. I don’t open ports though, I just use my VPN to get into my home network first. much safer
I really think some of the Linux crowd on Lemmy are way too sensitive and liberal with downvoting. That’s a perfectly fine comment to make. I imagine a friend saying that to me in real life and obviously it’s just an inoffensive joke/jab that shouldn’t be taken at face value.
Same for me with my two monitors 1440x2560p 144Hz & 2560x1440p 165 Hz.
I got my bootup scrolling text to only display on the main monitor, but can’t get the boot down text to stop displaying on both (sideways on the vertical one). Anyone got any tips for that (besides just turn the monitor off 😂)?
I use Arch btw
I’m not necessarily endorsing Fedora Server, but I’m running it on my Plex server since Fedora is the other distro officially supported by Plex (besides Ubuntu) and after I had some issues with Ubuntu Server + Plex I switched to it. Haven’t had any issues since.
