I self-host my own rustdesk server and it’s awesome. It just works flawlessly.
It can be done with adb:
You can if you use adb shell:
Developer Options > USB debugging turned on CMD prompt > adb devices Allow connection from the PC prompt on phone
Then add shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.sec.android.gallery3d
This will remove Gallery, BUT… The stock camera will not allow you to view the pic after you take it (it will show up in Google Photos still)
To restore the above removed app:
cmd package install-existing com.sec.android.gallery3d

I have a FLIRC remote with the receiver and use it for both my TV and HTPC.
It’s awesome once set up, but the app is honestly dogremoved. They put in all these smooth menu transitions and whatnot, making it painfully difficult to configure the remote.
So, once OS updates are unavailable, the machine might become a weak link from security standpoint or stop running some software.
That’s why I specified:
Double check before buying that it can be wiped and you can put Linux on it.
Yep, that’s what I started with. I had a 2014 Toshiba Chromebook with 16 GB storage and 2 GB memory.
It was my lil ssh/vnc machine for the longest time until the battery stopped working. I replaced it with a proper Thinkpad recently.
An old Chromebook sounds perfect.

Looks like most of those are 11.6". Double check before buying that it can be wiped and you can put Linux on it.
I’d advise against pinetime as a sports watch because it doesn’t accurately track mileage or pace. I’m looking to replace mine eventually with a Garmin or something.
This is a great reference:

Serverpartdeals is a good source for cheaper drives.
I put that removed on everything
Ventoy can do windows installations as well
I think Immich has grown out of the most difficult upgrades now. Most changes now are just removing lines from the stack.
I love this app.
I’ve had bad experiences with KDE Connect, specifically with group chats. Last time I used it to reply to a group chat, it sent a text to each person individually.
I’m also on Windows so that might be my fault.
Yes, I grew the existing one. Lesson learned I guess. 30.5 hours into it and it’s at 41%.
Not quite catastrophic but:
I’m in the process of switching my main server over from windows to Linux
I went with Deb 12 and it all works smoothly but I don’t have enough room to back up data to change the drive formats so they’re still NTFS. I was looking at my main media HDD and thought “oh, I’ll at least delete those windows partitions and leave the main partition intact.”
I found out the hard way that NTFS partitions can’t just reclaim space like that. It shuffles all the data when you change the partition. It’s currently 23 hours into the job and it’s 33% done.
I did this to reclaim 30 MB of space on a 14 TB drive.
Are you able to add it through the file properties menu?
I tried Nobara recently and had awful difficulties with it, probably because I have a NVIDIA GPU.
My GPU (3080 Ti) is compatible with the drivers it specified but it would get stuck on a blank screen.
I think any issues would show in “other”
