I always used Xubuntu or Linux Mint Xfce. Both have access to the Ubuntu package repository and are easy to use and install.
But not for mobile, especially Android. I would like librewolf to maintain a hardened Android app with their own F-Droid repo.
True.
I wish someone can fork Brave on desktop and mobile and take out all the other stuff. And if someone could fork firefox for desktop and mobile and make it a hardened browser out of the box.
How is blendOS based?
And personally most distros will do since linux is secure over all. I like Linux Mint personally and is good for programming and generic use.
I do hope nostr becomes the new twitter for everyone. And it does have a chance of that with the musk changes to twitter.
Like I said, someone got to break the ice. You don’t want to do that and that is fine and I get it.
People need to join and create their little own corners on Nostr were you discuss other topics and maybe a rule in these corners will be no crypto shilling and not be repulsive. Eventually these corners will grow in size to were Nostr is not just crypto bros.
Someone got to break the ice. Lemmy used to be very tech savvy, still us but now there are other topics to discuss. You gotta get on there and post into the void, get the ball rolling.
It is full of bitcoin maxies. It needs more people that are not crypto people on there.

A good place to start is Linux Mint with the Cinnamon desktop download option.
Start off with Bottles if Wine is too hard. Wine is a cmd line application while Bottles is Wine with a GUI making it easy to manage Wine.
Also, it is wise to try and have a different wine bottle (aka prefix) for each windows application you install and run.
Also Linux Mint is a distro that comes with Cinnamon pre-installed as long you download the Cinnamon option which is a fork of Ubuntu.
I dont see any issue with the user choosing weather upvotes or downvotes are visible or not. Not in favor of moderators or admins having a choice on this matter.
It does. I will never use an instance without downvotes. Nobody liked it when youtube downvotes were hidden.
SSDs are quite reliable and way faster than HDD over time. Only use HDD if your backing up data and even yet, there are mdiscs for data archiving.
Lets keep on keepin on!
I wonder how many parents and babysitters used movies to keep their kids entertained. Parents and babysitter should be interacting with the kids more then using movies as a distraction. I know there is too much TV time for kids as parents and babysitters would rather scroll social media or whatever then playing a board game with the kids for example.
