If you need to keep the budget down, you could probably find an end of service 2 in 1 Chromebook and make it a chultrabook.

I was just thinking of trying this with gnome mobile shell on mine! It looks like a great way to handle windows on gnome with touch

The pine note might be a better pick if colors not important in the pdfs

Not one Suggested notification on our Windows machines since!

Iirc macOS Remote Desktop is based on vnc so you should be able to turn it on on your Mac and connect. I use it for managing a headless trashcan
