Heres some information on the status of using apps with piefed https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi/issues/13#issuecomment-1814982
I think once theres apps it will get a lot of growth
Don’t forget about piefed it’s amazing and lets you subscribe to posts and/or comments. Theres someone who contributed Lemmy API compatibility to use some Lemmy apps with Piefed instances. Its still very early but so far its extremely promising and the codebase is in python and the main developer is focused on ensuring it wasy to contribute. Check it out: https://piefed.social
Code is on codeberg which is great too https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi
Is it opwn source? Would love to see it on mastodon and other apps
What’s the link
Is this an app or front end?
Keep making open source projects words no one can pronounce or spell. I love using stuff no one uses… glad it’s being worked on but wow it’s like a battle to name things confusing sets of letters
What makes gtk4 on it useful?
Is that the only difference? That feature doesn’t seem great tbh. I’d love a wiki on lemmy though especially one that integrated to the point you can one click add a question + answer directly to the communities wiki
Wait what i didnt know about any community editable aspect, can you share some examples?
The lillygo t deck is a blackberry style device with lora https://www.lilygo.cc/products/t-deck
Forums, facebook groups (but not owned by meta), Letterboxd, Amazon (without amazon)
Have you seen fedi games? https://games.rerere.org/
What are the benefits of Linkedin? Ive never seen anyone mention it positively
In what ways is it better for gaming?
This along with other things is another reason why i will continue to recommend noobs start with pop os and more advanced users to use bazzite.
I do wish pop os would change their name to cosmic os though. Their current name is too close to poop os 😅
They don’t have one sadly
It would help make the apps compatible with eachother making them better so people would actually care to switch from threads to open platforms and it would help fund them. Like i stated in the OP
Not fully but there’s worth being done for that https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi/issues/13
