I’m a RedReader user so I really missed the swipe gestures for voting. It also has a web app version that I can install both on mpbile and PC. While I’m not a fan of iOS look, I’m not a fan of Material You either.
The way I do it is an extension that auto-rejects most cookie consent prompts for me. There’s probably a userscript somewhere that you can manually integrate into uBlock.

Unfortuantely, how I see it, FOSS devs are more likely to cater pro/enthusiast users who are more open to try and support desktop solutions. Meanwhile, indie Android devs are also likely to monetize their work. I can’t blame them, though.
As a consequence it might also block sone ads so that’s a bonus. Either way, I like the level of control.
