Happy New Year, folks!
Thank you to everyone who has posted, commented, and voted in this community last year! The community would not exist without you! We’ve grown from zero to 1.5k subscribers in just over 6 months! (not even counting subscribers on other instances!)
I thought that this would be a good time to review the current state of things and suggest changes going forward.
What would people like to see from this community in the coming year? For example:
- More or fewer launch threads?
- More or fewer news articles?
- More or fewer discussion threads?
- More users? :)
How do people feel about the monthly discussion and Starlink launch threads? They don’t get much activity and I’ve been thinking of discontinuing them in their current form, but if some people find them useful, I can continue them. Is there a different format people would prefer?
Anything the mod team could be doing better?
Any other suggestions?
Thank you all for participating in this community, and I can’t wait to see what 2024 brings!
I would like more Spacex related photos from Starbase, Vandenberg, etc. I like to geek over repairs, construction, moving engines, tests. It doesn’t have to be a big sexy event, like a launch.
I wasn’t aware of the monthly threads because I normally browse by last 24h but I’ll try to show up more.
FWIW I find Starlink pretty boring these days until V2 starts going up.
I’ll try to identify why I still occasionally browse /r/SpaceX but I think it’s just the insurance that the feed will have all of the news I am looking for.
