That’s Ivan Miranda. https://www.youtube.com/@ivanmirandawastaken
I assumed it was just a branding change. Was it something more than that?
Did you follow some guide when replacing the nozzle and bowden tube?
No, it’s pretty intuitive so I just did it.
Did you hot tighten it when putting them back?
Yep.
What speed are you printing at, which you think is too slow? What’s your acceleration?
I was printing a speed test, the inbuilt one from Orca Slicer. Starts with a huge, slow brim, then low speed 10 layers, then slightly faster 10 layers, repeat until it fails.
You say you think you’re having heatcreep issues, what exactly are the issues you’re having?
there’s a swelling of the filament, about 1" tall, above the hot end.
Related - I’ve replaced the PTFE tube with a higher quality one and I’ve replaced the nozzle (it was indeed clogged).
Disagree. You’re right that it’s very flat, but it’s not 2d. It’s got thickness to it. Additionally, not a waste as it’s awesome. Disagree that a poster would look better. Also, I couldn’t make a poster but I could make this. Also, you could customize the colors if you wanted.
ooh that’s clever
I will probably get a smaller, cheaper dedicated printer to run that on exclusively, and leave my big printer for big stuff, with a bigger nozzle
That’s actually why this is happening, lol. I got a bigger printer so my older smaller one is going to be just for tiny nozzle.
lol, not me, Fraens did.
but yeah, they kinda did.
Thanks!
Can you edit in the actual stamp? The end result is good, but can you also show the 3d printed thing?
There was a period where they were hard to get. Then they strayed from their roots about being affordable, simple computer. The mission as it started isn’t what they do anymore. It’s lost its luster.
whoa, you’re not kidding. I never thought of that and searched it. This page looks like an industrial supplier of different kinds. https://www.hotmelt.com/collections/hot-melt-glue-sticks
Yes, spool clips are great. This is my fav https://www.printables.com/model/581033-grandmas-double-sided-filament-clip
AKA Last meters! I have a collection on Printables just for last meters projects. Here’s a contest that Printables ran. https://www.printables.com/contest/70-last-meters
This one is my favorite. I print a bunch and give them away at the office. https://www.printables.com/model/59453-bookmark-basic

Perfect is the enemy of good. Screw good. I wanna be perfect.
The UI of Prusa slicer is hot garbage though.
I’m comparing cura and prusa, so prusa wins by a lot. What are you comparing prusa to? Orca?
Fork of a fork of a fork.
Can someone give me a brief intro to orca slicer? Who is it made by and what’s it’s quirk?
For example prusa slicer, made by prusa, prioritizes user interface and has powerful almost modeling features (text, cutting etc)
It let me download and publish a make. (I got all the way to the confirm on make, but didn’t commit.)
You could, uh, down vote and move on instead of being so weird about it.
