Inconvenient package management
Can’t you just use the Gnome App Store or whatever it’s called?

What happened to just donwload the app from it’s own creator and install on your machine?
That’s the Windows removed I specifically wanted to get away from
Your system might be messed up
Flatpak sandboxing (bubblewrap)
I don’t think you got the idea of a federated blocklist the other person was talking about
It doesn’t seem like a particularly social activity
It’s the silly license thing
Lmao it was funny seeing that making the rounds
And it’s above Threads.net. Talk about priorities lol
That would be a seriously cool route to take
It’s funny seeing how being able to see and discuss these decisions being the advantage of lemmy and admins and then seeing someone talking about defederation policies being “shaming” lmao. A bit dramatic
You can have the federated blocklist people named, decisions for adding to list public and explained. That way it would be the same as with admins
Above “pedo.school”? Seriously?
It does make sense for me to have this functionality in systemd the way they want to go about doing this.
Only complaint that I had about OpenSuse was that horribly slow package manager, other than that, It’s a solid choice
ZYPP_SINGLE_RPMTRANS=1 and ZYPP_MEDIANETWORK=1 have made wonders. They are experimental but I’ve had good experience with them, with those zypper is a lot faster
*me waiting for EventCalendar and Krunner-Symbols being updated for Plasma 6*
Luckily with Plasma it’s not as common for extensions to break.
I love it but I definitely wouldn’t call it rock solid. I have occasional small bugs here and there and especially with the Plasma 6 switch I’ve had the whole desktop going down (and taking all programs with it). That has been fixed though.
2FA codes is one thing I use it for
Can’t we just all come together and agree that they’re both cringe
With an immutable system the flatpaks would be the way to go
