Nobody gives a removed and complaining about down votes is the quickest way to get them.

Guess what! Outside of a few custom instances that for some reason want to be reddit, the fediverse doesn’t track your total karma.

Unless you’re going back to keep track of your comments for some weird reason, the only time you see a down voted comment is when you get replies.

I could have hundreds of net down votes by now, but I don’t know because luckily my instance doesn’t track votes.

Yeah, I’ve never once seen anything but criticism over the US’s involvement in the middle east.

The most I’ve seen is a couple people saying the equivalent of “well SOMEONE had to do something about X” And a bunch of others jumping on them to clarify that X either never existed, or was massively exaggerated and the US isn’t the World Police.

Can you truly say you’ve had the HB experience if you haven’t recieved emoji/sticker/gif spam from people who weren’t alive for 9/11, have never been outside their country, and refuse to listen to opposing views, but know with full certainty that all western countries are 100% full of genociders and colonial rapists who all deserve the glorious death the super benign, extremely peaceful and misunderstood countries of North Korea, China, and Russia who have never once been correctly accused of human rights violations…

I know of it because I make knives and swords, and it’s in some steel alloys I use. Some might know of it because it’s used in high pressure hydraulic tubes.

Fair enough, given the small dimensions I figured lightweight and easy to repair/replace is the biggest feature you’re going for.

I considered adding in a “for if you want to take a step up” to it, but that sounded to me like I was trying to say yours is somehow lesser, which is definitely not the case.

Too bad videos can’t give a good idea of sound quality, because I’d love to hear it. Based on the specs I can see, this thing should be a nice little powerhouse in it’s own right!

That’s been working out so well so far.

The only way to keep them accountable while actually ensuring compliance is to burn them to the ground if they step out of line.

If you do design another one, here’s an interesting technique I saw on a random YouTube video:

Make an enclosure that fits together so that the walls have a cavity between them you can fill with a combination of plaster of Paris and pvc glue.

This, combined with separate chambers for tweeters/woofers/subs/etc and a little thought for how the sound exits the enclosure, and you’ve got a top tier miniature sound system for a fraction of the cost. Although it will be a little bulkier, a little heavier, and takes more time to design, if you want to take another step up from what looks to me like a pretty good first one. Honestly given the 3d printed enclosure I expected all kinds of distortions and noise, but you clearly did quite well. So please don’t for a second think I’m trying to say “uhh this way is better” it’s just a different way, and one that could be better or worse for many many reasons.

People don’t seem to realize that their consumption of a product is seen by its beneficiaries.

Sure not YOU directly, but when someone sees “oh this place also set up something dedicated solely to the thing I made, they must really like me and approve of the things I do/say!” and others who agree with their removedty views think “oh they agree too, otherwise why promote it?”

Is it possible to separate the creatOR from the creatION? Yes. But not for everyone, and many of those who can’t will see your support as support of their own removedty ideals that match the creators’.

Seems like everyone who is “for” letting threads stay can be summed up by “why would I want to intentionally separate this from a corporate entity when they’ll just get my data anyway” Like that’s a removeding valid argument.
