I don’t think they work at all on comments, although I don’t have hard evidence to confirm this. However, I believe there are “block lists” you can add to your websites robots.txt
that work decently.

I’ve definitely seen more video content of people trying Linux or moving over completely after that announcement from MS.
I think Lemmy plays a part in it but also all the stuff with MS recently (and people getting tired of it).
I think most Lemmy users use Linux
I was thinking about this earlier today. I’d love to do a Lemmy wide survey to see how true this is or to what extent.
I’m not sure if this is part of the “frequency illusion”, but I’ve noticed a lot more mainstream media talking about Linux as a viable alternative.
I can’t remember where I found it, but here it is. I thought it might be from here (I’ve used these previously) but it is not.
Unfortunately, I’m having to use X11 because of work (context). Thanks for the help!
I corrected the post, thanks for calling it out! It’s fine when locked but the issue happens when logged out.
I’ve got Silverblue installed on my laptop, could I then rebase to uBlue and get the benefits of using uBlue over Silverblue?
Popsicle from Pop!_OS is also very good - really simple. I’m not sure if it can create a bootable Windows USB though.

Fedora Media Writer is also another good option.

Makes sense. Thanks for explaining
I’m of the same opinion as you. I tried to understand why OP has said opinion (that’s why I posted here and engaged with them). Thank you for positively adding to the conversation.
I only found it recently and it’s saved me so much time with being able to take screenshots of whole web page elements.
Is this being downvoted because of a YouTube link?
It takes screenshots that get posted to a user dashboard for management to check if needed.
Did you look at the timestamps? I posted my question here before this particular response from the OP. I asked the question on Lemmy out of interest and wanting to get a wider perspective.
I also engaged with the OP on the thread so that I can get their perspective on their stance.
It’s not open source. I just added it to codeberg for easy sharing to ask this question
Pretty much. My company has it set to track the following:
All of this is combined to determine how active you were (as a percentage), you can then try and determine how much time was spent on productive vs non-productive work. However, we use it as a glorified timesheet.
That was my thought initially as well. Just install the OS you want, how you want.
lol, love that
Not sure if it’s sold outside of Ireland but “Murphy’s” is really good, and of course, Guinness (if you’re into stouts)
