Did your computer lose its bios settings lately? Check to see if it’s set to ahci and not raid if using a single, non-raid disk.

FYI: There’s currently an open issue with crossposting on instances using the 0.19.4 lemmy ui.

In a nutshell, the post submission page reloads after it retrieves the community to crosspost to, so everything but the selected community is wiped out.

It’s a bug in 0.19.4. I opened a GitHub issue for this in the lemmy-ui repo.

It’s confirmed here on Firefox on instance daring.lemmy.fan. You should file a bug on the lemmy-ui GitHub.

Subscribe pending and joined pretty much mean the same thing right now. I think it’s a bug but I’m not sure. I do know that Subscribe Pending instances work.

Old posts aren’t federated. As new posts roll in, they’ll start appearing.

I setup my lemmy log to go to a file as opposed to the console. Then it’s searchable, archiveable, etc.

Personally I leave it up to people to block instances. The only instances I’ve had to block are the ones that post illegal content like CSAM.

The operating system, or OS, really does not care about whether it is a hard drive or a solid state drive when moving around the partitions.

Say your hard drives are pools. One is filled with molasses, and the other has water. The partitions are like the ropes in the pool. Perhaps you have no ropes. Maybe you have three, but two are so close to the wall, and each other, that only a small amount of stuff could occupy those lanes.

That leaves you with one really large lane. That’s your data partition.

Water or molasses, the ropes are the same.

A simple toast message after an applicant signs up, but before the admins approve the application. Currently the applicant is offered no feedback while in this no-person’s land between applying and being approved.

This is very obvious on the confirm email link. Once you log in, the username and password will disappear, but no feedback is sent to the applicant.

I would fix it myself but I don’t know rust or inferno.
